Tryout schedule for the week of Feb 20th
Monday - Anyone who wants to be a thrower (shot put or discus) 1-3pm. Meet on the track.
All others (Sprinters, Jumpers and Hurdlers) 3-5 pm. Meet on the track.
Tuesday: 3-5. Meet by the weight room (all)
Wednesday 3-5 Meet by the weight room (all)
Thursday 3-5 Meet by the weight room (all)
Friday on your own (the coaching staff will be at the State Indoor Track and Field Championships
We'd love to have you join us as we get ready to challenge for conference, region and state titles. We have all types of kids from experienced to newbies, small to large, speedy to distance oriented to throwers. Practices are daily from 3-5 pm. All athletes get one day on their own each week. That day will depend on which skill group you are in. (Example- distance runners have Tuesday on their own each week).

Daily you will need long sleeves and long pants as we are outside.
Welcome to Sprign Track 2017. We will begin practice on Feb 20th. We are awaiting a time as field schedules are worked out. Please make sure you have the following in order to begin practicing with the team:
Purple Card from the Athletic Office or Athletic Trainer (this will only be given if you have a complete VHSL physical on file and both you and a parent have completed the concussion education that can be found on the front page of this website)
Emergency Care form - completed and signed.
***Some basics for outdoor track:
1. We are outside daily, have long sleeves and long pants daily. 2. We practice daily, although most athletes will have an on your own day once per week. This will depend on your event group. Example- distance runners are on their own on most Tuesdays. 3. There are no cuts based on ability. You will be grouped based on your skill set. There are time and performance trials to determine this. 4. Some technique events (hurdles, jumps, throws) will have morning practices. Talk to coach Mangan in the track office (inside the gym) if you have questions.
